Another
project done.
Our
old metal sink was an eyesore.
All opening cuts and notches are completed:
Note the necessary notch:
Completed Project, 2 new water supply valves, fix
drain, disposal, etc.
Shelf under window had to be removed to use saw.
Jane will find a replacement.
From
Oct 22:
A
great birthday present from the family was an RV Surge Protector.
This
unit also checks voltage, current load, ground faults and cuts off for high or
low voltage.
Reports
status & data to cell phone via Bluetooth.
Works
great with a normal RV or grounded RV adapter to a house line.
However,
generators under 5,000 Watt have what is called a Floating Neutral.
Generators
5000 W and over have a grounded neutral.
Hence,
an RV Surge Protector will not protect an RV using an external generator.
Motor
Homes all have grounded neutral when running only.
To
protect our RV should the generator run out of gas, I made a Grounding Plug.
Now,
the generator works fine, and the Power Watchdog works also with no problems.
I
had to Google for this fix:
Also
NOTE that I have a padlock and Bike Cable nearby to prevent theft.
And
this padlock keeps the unit off the mud if it rains hard.
The
adapter plug:
How
it is constructed:
October
24:
Last night we had a 10% chance of rain.
We got over a half inch of rain in an hour (.6)
A little more and I would need a boat.
No damage found, even though foundation under water.
Another view, just below the above photo:
Off our side deck:
Back yard, six inches deep at the house.
8 inches at the rear fence.

A lot has
happened in the last month.
We have
decided to bite the bullet and replace all the carpet and flooring.
A HUGE
job, done by Empire Today LLC which is A+ with the BBB.
We also
completed #3 of 3 of the Living Room windows:
All are
double pane and Low E.
What a difference
in sound and heat transfer:

NEW:
Now the
floor replacement:
We became
Hoarders in the true sense as we moved EVERYTHING to one place to open a floor
area:
Now, the
floor replacement begins…………………

is finally all over, check out the results:

And even

We

Ripped it

Finally,
the finished Laundry Room:
Involves;
Laundry drain, fresh hot and cold water lines, gas along with 20 Amp +2
electrical.
All done
by yours truly. (Whew!)
Add a cabinet
for laundry stuff:
NOW FOR SOME OLDER STUFF A MONTH AGO:
Cox Cable TV is coming into our park.
The technology has really improved.
Now they have machines that will drill
A horizontal hole a whole block if need be.
A controller on the destination ensures accuracy.
Note the drill pipes stack in a magazine above the
machine.
The conduit then is snaked through the pipe.
The pipe is retracted and broken down to sections.
Did 300 feet in 2 hours, including set up and tear
down.
Running
the cable:
That
could be a problem:
Good
job:
All
done:
Jane
wanted a new couch, here it is:
Glad
to see Jack likes it.
6/1/2018
Have
replaced window #2 of the 3 Living Room Windows.
Was
special order this time and the window fit perfectly.
The
110 degree weather would not allow final painting.
Today
it was 93 and humid, so the paint went on this evening.
Rain
predicted but paint dried before any moisture.
All
done:
June

Celebrated
our 35th Wedding Anniversary.
A big thank you from the bottom of
our hearts to Jay and Sabrina for giving us a fabulous 35th anniversary dinner
at the Salt Cellar Restaurant. I am having beef Wellington which I have been
wanting for over a year and Jay is having his crab legs! What a blessing to be
married this long and still in love with each other. Thank you Jesus for being
the thread that keeps us together!
I still design and publish the Sun City Posse Website.
About a year ago, the SC Posse divested their
association with
Maricopa Sheriff’s Office. However the new Sheriff,
Paul Penzone still assists the now independent posse.
The Sheriff stopped by the Sun City Posse Appreciation
Dinner.
The dinner was May 19, and the food was great as
always.
He recognized me and suggested we pose for a photo:

THE
WINDOWS PROJECT:
The hot summer is coming very soon to Arizona.
The old single pane windows allow a lot of heat inside
our home.

OLDER
STUFF:
The pups needed something comfortable to pee on.
Well, maybe not so much Jack.
More so, Jill who is built much closer to the ground.
Cost of the piece shown $240.00 retail.
Tried a used swatch for now to see how they liked it.
Paid $20 cash.
Even has paint markings on it.
The pups really want to protect Jane from me, check it
out:
It
is almost that time again.
The
Laughlin NV camping and LASD Roundup will be posted soon.
Finally broke down and
got a set of hearing aids.
Thanks to the V.A.
Problem is the wires to
the “speaker” are very fragile and I have broken the wires twice while
inserting them.
The answer is a simple
plastic soda straw.
Cut a notch, orientate
the unit and insert.
This tool works great
and is absolutely free.

Older stuff:
Finally, have moved the
poles of the carport so that I can park the truck without collapsing the
mirrors.
Also, had only 1 ½ inches
of clearance which could lead to my eventually damaging truck, big money to
repair.
With Richard’s help,
did a professional job, what a difference.
Note that the poles
line up perfectly.
Started with new
foundations:
Stronger connection

OCTOBER/NOVEMBER
CAMP AT LOST DUTCHMAN STATE PARK;
SUPERSTITION
MOUNTAINS:
The
pull-through appears to not be a private camping spot. I am no fan of open parking, but this spot
worked out OK, due to the view from the camper door. The weather was much cooler.
Actually,
the weather was Great!
How is
this for an afternoon, checking out the view?
Full moon
coming up in the desert:
This was a
group camp with three rigs.
We served
as base camp, and the added lights made it possible to get around.

September
2017 TRIP TO DEAD HORSE STATE PARK, COTTONWOOD AZ:
Completely
set up, with screen room and another canopy to lay in the shade.
We were

and Jeff; Sabrina and Jay; Jane and me, another Jay.
There are
wild things out here:
Great

Also
