THIS IS
THE OLDER STUFF THAT HAD TO BE EDITED OUT, AS THE FILE WAS BECOMING TOO LARGE:
Now
have both cars out of the 111 degree sun:
Went
to Flagstaff AZ for week of camping in the cooler air:
Notice that every KOA I
have ever camped at did not have a level pad.
You can see the yellow booster pads under the left wheels.
Yes, I did move the spare
tire which was in front of the rear decals, I think it looks better.
However it was 79 degrees
while Peoria was 109.
Jane and I celebrated our
30th wedding anniversary.
It still is all good and
God is good!

News
from Jay:
We
traded in our old popup camper for a travel trailer. It is a JayCo (of
course) Swift.
We did not want to have a
high RV loan, and stayed away from the 6,000+ GVW monsters even though our
Titan truck will pull a trailer up to 9,500 pounds.
What we fell in love with
was the rear living room with the picture windows. Weight wise, it is just a little heavier than
our previous Pop Up Camper.
Check out our recent trip
to Alamo Lake State Park in Arizona.
Yes it was windy, but
Arizona has been experiencing high winds for seven weeks in a row.
Inside, we never felt the
wind, and I enjoyed the view. Check out
the pictures below:
Interesting
information:
AZ
license plate matches our present address:
And I had a lot of help:
Dan helped install a cover over the vent flap for
the bathroom. This protects the flap
from sun, wind, and keeps the bugs out.
Previously,
we had to go to Laughlin NV for a National CCW Qualification Card.
Then
it was on to Las Vegas for three nights:
(Buffet!)
Jane and I visited the
Pawn Shop seen on TV:
Then to Rose Marie, my
sister to say hi now she lives in Las Vegas:
And before that Jeff
Hansen helped me put this shed together for all our STUFF.
Older news:
I have retired for the
second time. As of January 31st
I am no longer an active member of the Maricopa Sheriff’s Posse. Jane has closed her business and will now be
home during the weekdays. My Posse
commitment added to 40-80 hours a month.
We will now use that free time for each other. I am not getting any younger, and we need to
get out and do some things, travel, and so forth. I spent over six years in the Posse, and it
is time to hang up my guns; (Taser and Glock 22 .40 Caliber.) It was fun helping the Deputies, and I even
was authorized to ride solo with my AR-15 rifle at my side. Maybe I can dig up a picture of that. Check back soon.
Five of six persons retiring shown for January 31.
Maybe
I should take it easy for a while, you think?
And
here is a photo of my heyday: (before I
got older)
OK,
time for me to rant a little:
We have a problem with
drunk and mentally ill drivers who crash and kill people. The only answer to this problem is to ban
automobiles. Putting drunk drivers in
jail or punishing mentally ill persons who drive without a license would never
work. We must ban cars!
Alcohol causes death
also. We should ban that. (Wait we tried that already)
But do anything about
violent TV, Movies and yes, Video Games?
Hey, the school shooters and movie house shooter played video games for
many hours a day. They were good at
killing people when it was a game. Then
they got tired of just playing a game.
The real thing would be much more exciting. No, we should just not let honest people
possess guns. Everything else stays the
same!
The new digs:
Process of moving is slow
but steady. Before long, we should be
finally settled in the new place. Here
are some pictures but bear in mind, we have not unpacked boxes and organized
fully. More organized pictures will be
coming soon.

After all, 26 years in the
Alarm Business, I should know how to install a burglar alarm.

The end of our wonderful

order we will all experience what it feels like to have no rights. You voted for it!

Today,
saving up for an October camping trip. I
really need to get away. Will post some
new photos this week!
Will go
to the Dead Horse Campground in Cottonwood Arizona. The ladies like the place as there is a
Wal-Mart only a mile away. Go figure!
Hey, it is a departure
from the daily chores.
I am so excited!
We get a 1.4 Social
Security Raise this year!
This will completely
cover the cost of gasoline, food, and everything else!
I need to request a free
Government Cell Phone next. Then I will
be fully satisfied with my new government…………..

Well, the economy is really hurting us. We may be forced to move soon, as we cannot
keep up with the house payments. It
seems that cost of gas, food, power, natural gas, and everything else has gone
up, but my income is fixed. I may join
the 28 million soon.
Nothing really new to
report. Will advise when
something good finally happens. However
we are still in a positive and cheerful mode, with God’s assistance.
As you know, the temperatures have been around
112 to 116 degrees Fahrenheit. Recently,
temperatures dropped, due to a Monsoon push.
More rain!
Fortunately the A/C is keeping us cool at
home. The unit is about 30 years old and
the last service man stated that it would outlast a brand new unit installed
today. Well, 11 ½ years ago, we had a
hail storm which ruined every air conditioner roof unit on the block. We have a protective blind around ours, and
we were the only one on the block that escaped damage. Yesterday, one of the A/C units down the
street was being changed out after failing.
Ours still runs and blows ice cold air.
So much for progress. No camping for a while, as a trip to the
mountains and the cooler high country would have to be made in the very early
morning hours. Otherwise damage to tires
and the truck engine is a possibility.
The overnight temperatures are running 92 degrees just before
sunup. We will just stay home while this
hot spell runs the course.
The reason is due to flair-ups of the Sun. It is sending more heat to the Earth. Hope it cools down before we fry.
Oh yes, the World ends in 2012.
Check my home page and the Pizza order 2013. It is clever.
We will update this when something happens of
significance.

Older news:
For those who had heard the news, I spent three
days in
I still went to volunteer work as the Duty
Officer for the morning shift on Monday.
After getting most of the paperwork done, an early volunteer noticed
that I looked really pale. I stood up
from my desk, and almost passed out.
Checked my pulse and it was missing a beat after every three good
beats. The PVC condition was also
putting a strain on my heart causing mild chest pains. Well I called Fire and they ran a heart strip
on me. Verdict was mandatory; go to the
hospital via ambulance.
After they checked me out, I found that my
electrolytes were really messed up, and I was very low in Potassium. This caused the heart palpitations. So, they put me on an I.V. drip with
Potassium and other stuff to help me out.
Also they gave me a Nitro Glycerin Patch which gave me a King Kong
Headache. Worse than any
hangover in my life. Well, they
fixed that with Morphine and the anti-nausea drugs worked to solve most of the
problem.
Finally, I got all stabilized and they released
me after 3 days in the hospital eating food unfit for eating.
Only good thing was that I found that my pipes
and heart are free of plaque buildup.
Unusual for a 73 year old, but maybe I am not usual, you think?
I go back to work Tuesday, and have no problems,
just wiser now to what can happen if you do not take care of yourself when struck
with an illness.
As far as this web page, I plan to try another
password scheme. Will
send an e-mail about that soon.
God bless!
Jay

pictures of my last visit to the L.A. County Fair.
Got
together with my daughter Christine Martinez and her husband Ed. Chris and I spent 8 ½ hours walking around
that day and managed to see just about everything there was to view. Ed showed up after work. Took me back to the 1960’s

attractions. It is worth the trip and

June:
Hot
summer in Phoenix. Sorry that I have not done
much in the way of updates, but due to the terrible economy there is not much
money left over to have fun. The camper just
sits in a garage waiting for the chance to actually take it out. Bonnie and Jeff spent a week in the Clint’s
Wells area, at an elevation of 8,500 feet.
Since school was in session and it was during the week, they had the
entire camp almost to themselves. Only
water and a Forest Service John are available.
No electricity and phones do not work up there. Jeff had problems with his generator, as it
could not run fast enough to run his A/C during the hot part of the day. Anyway, we want to get up there before the
summer is over, if some money shows up on our front door. (Right!)

Camped at
Dead Horse camp ground in Cottonwood, AZ.
Made this a 4 day camping trip, and it was great to have some time to
relax before having to take down the rig.
Also took a side trip to Jerome AZ, and I chatted with the local Police
Officers. A former Chief of Police from
that city is now with the Sun City Posse.
